Production line

Made to order, right down to the corners.

A frame is machined, its ornaments are printed, and robots put it together under a camera that checks every corner. Machining, 3D printing, robot assembly, vision inspection and packing on one loop, fed from an automated warehouse.

Follow one order.

Eight stops from a blank and a spool of filament to a boxed frame back on the shelf.

Order. A customer's size and design arrive at the control and display center, which releases the job and follows it around the loop.

Built from industrial equipment.

Real machines

The router, the printers, the robot, the controllers and the vision system are industrial products, so the line can make real frames for real customers.

Modular by design

Every station stands on casters with leveling feet. Run the printing cell or the robot cell on its own, or join the whole loop.

A digital twin

The whole line exists in simulation. Students program and commission it virtually first, then move to the real machines.

Two ways to make a part

Subtractive on the router and additive on the printers, side by side, so students see where each one earns its place.

What students do on it.

Machining, additive, robotics, controls and quality work, grouped by what a technician actually touches.

Controls. PLC programming, HMI screens, fieldbus and industrial networking, sensors and detection.

At a glance.
